Description: We are seeking a reliable individual to carry out street cleaning duties, including sweeping, litter collection, and operating cleaning machinery to maintain clean public areas.
The role involves grounds maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, and emptying bins, including handling hazardous waste like faeces, needles, and deceased animals.
Additional duties include graffiti and vandalism removal, seasonal work like gritting, and reporting public space defects using mobile devices.
You must interact politely with the public, offering help and information as needed while delivering a courteous and professional service.
The post holder will be required to drive a City Council Vehicle as part of their role: LGV Desirable

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.
Working Pattern: Monday – Thursday 06.00 – 14.30 Friday 06.00 – 12.15
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £28,624 – £31,067 per annum (City Pay Band 3)
Location: Cowley Road Depot
