About The Role

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a dedicated Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to lead and enhance our Health, Safety and Wellbeing initiatives accross the county.

 

About You

  • Provide expert advice and support on Health, Safety and Wellbeing matters.
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies to ensure compliance with national standards and regulations.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Collabortate with the Occupational Health Unit and external partners to promote a positive safety culture.
  • proactively work with partners to provide, record and report on service wide annual fitness testing.
  • Deliver training programmes and wellbeng initiatives to staff.
  • Produce and analyse statistical reports to monitor performance and drive improvements

 

We are looking for:  Essential – 

  • A recognised Health and Safety Qualification (e.g. NVO Level 5) or equivalent practical experience.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety Law and Approved Code of Practices in the field of Health and Safety at Work.
  • Proven working experience in Legal compliance, investigations and partnership working.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Ability to work independantly accross multiple sites.
  • this role requires a full UK driving licence.
  • this role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
