Inclusive Learning Programmer (Part-time) – London, W1J 0BD

Salary: £20,400

Please note that this role is being offered on part-time, fixed term contract basis for 3 years, working 3 days a week.

About this Role

The Royal Academy strongly supports quality visual art education for a broad range of

audiences. Our Learning team welcomes and supports creative learning experiences for teachers, young people, adults, families, and community groups. Our activities and resources ensure visitors can explore their creativity, express ideas, learn new skills and develop an interest and confidence in looking at, discussing, and making art.

We are currently looking for an Inclusive Learning Programmer to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and delivering a programme of creative learning opportunities for audiences who may face barriers to accessing art and the art world. Current programmes include Making Space, an inclusive artist development programme; family workshops for children with SEND, and relaxed viewings for our exhibitions.

About You

To be considered for this role you will have an innovative and inclusive approach to programming, enabling audiences to learn about art and artmaking, develop their creative skills and practice, and engage with the RA’s exhibitions, Collection and heritage in ways that are relevant to them.

You will have excellent audience insight, confident communication skills and a collaborative and flexible approach to work, enabling you to build effective partnerships and produce programmes with and for a range of audiences.
