McArthurGlen Group, Europe’s leading owner, developer and manager of designer outlets, was founded in Europe in 1993 and currently manages 23 designer outlets in 8 countries.

This role will support the Insight team in executing our primary & secondary market research programme. This fantastic opportunity offers a great deal of exposure to the European retail sector, providing valuable experience in consumer insights, market research, and broader marketing through an understanding of our customers and their changing behaviours.

Reporting to the Head of Insight, you will also work very closely with the whole insight team, as well as internal marketing and centre teams.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Supporting the planning and coordination of our research and insight programme.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of our customer experience feedback programme, How Was Your Day , and coordinating Tableau reporting.
  • Analysing quarterly and annual trends from How Was Your Day to uncover actionable insights.
  • Partnering with Guest Experience Managers to ensure consistent execution of our customer experience programme across centres.
  • Staying ahead of consumer and market trends to inform marketing campaigns and strategic planning.
  • Delivering quarterly updates on market and cultural trends to our wider marketing teams.
  • Gathering key project inputs from local teams and sharing with external partners – including sales data, brand lists, and survey sampling definitions.
  • Collaborating with the wider insight team on report writing and clear, strategic recommendations.
  • Supporting ETM reports, ad hoc requests, and new research initiatives.
  • Presenting findings confidently using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Contributing to the delivery of fresh insights on market and customer behaviour to our Brand Partners.
  • Assisting with planning insight meetings and coordinating European travel.

To be successful you’ll bring…

We’re after someone who’s not only passionate about insights but also brings a solid foundation of experience and a sharp eye for detail. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A degree-level education or above.
  • 2+ years of research experience, either agency or client-side.
  • Hands-on experience with Customer Experience Tracking, including NPS.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach to work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • BI dashboard experience in Tableau (or similar) – is a definite plus!
  • A confident communicator with strong presentation skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and proven ability to work effectively in a team.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work to deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure.
