Role Overview
This is a student placement opportunity at Kite Consulting, a prominent consultancy in the farming industry. The position provides a valuable opportunity to acquire skills in dairy consultancy while collaborating with seasoned professionals to assist clients in reaching their business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical and financial expertise in dairy farming through practical experience and mentorship.
- Support consultants in delivering expert advice on nutrition, technical performance, and business strategy.
- Collaborate with consultants to help meet client objectives and provide tailored advice.
- Oversee a specific component of the project throughout the placement year, showcasing initiative and growth.
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and workshops for clients and corporate projects.
- Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Represent Kite Consulting at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
- Assist and collaborate with the office team to understand all facets of the consultancy business.
About you:
Essential:
- Currently studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in animal science, Agriculture, Business, or Finance
- Communication and relationship-building skills
- Solid IT and analytical capabilities
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel and work from home.
Desirable:
- Practical experience in dairy farming
- Familiarity with dairy management systems or financial modelling tools
- Understanding of sustainability practices in agriculture
