Why this job matters

This role is pivotal to ensuring the delivery of key strategic learning programmes and initiatives, effective deployment and subsequent embedding, sustaining and measurement of learning acting as a key operational interface between operational stakeholders, 3rd parties and the learning design and delivery Teams.
This role helps people to make a positive difference through:
•    Supporting Learning & Skills programmes within a functional area ensuring alignment with business strategy, continuous learning and performance initiatives
•    Assists best practice and innovation to drive the design and delivery of effective training solutions in line with the BT Group's learning strategy.
•    Assists relationships across both internal and external resources, ensuring training interventions align to both learner experience and business needs
•    Driving Quality Assurance to ensure all components of a programme are delivered to relevant standards, establishing actions to provide further support

What you’ll be doing

Stakeholder Management –
Good communication across crucial stakeholders and the ability to influence decisions to optimize training effectiveness
Team coach–
Manage a team of trainers and a training co-ordinator to identify risks and create plans to overcome them whilst developing your people to be the best they can be.
Relationship Building – 
Be a point of contact for all Networks external H&S training as well as Field Engineering internal training. Establish and manage a positive relationship with external college/learning providers as well as learners on all of the Networks career pathways and Apprenticeships
Data Analysis –
Accountable for training and upskilling our engineering workforce. Produce reports to spot skills gaps in geographical locations and identify upskilling opportunities in key locations. 
Ensure the Networks H&S training budget is managed and used efficiently while delivering the agreed training demand
Learning Design – 
Provides support for the design and delivery of effective training solutions in line with BT’s learning strategy. Identify areas to use innovation and digital technologies for new products of work and then deliver the appropriate training

Skill and Experience

•  Business insight – You apply your knowledge of the unique environment in which our business operates to ensure that our training uses business insight to enhance skills.
Managing finance goals for T&S and controllable costs for direct reports, ensuring training is delivered to budget and challenge potential overspend, delivering the training in accordance with Field shrinkage requirements.
•  Innovation and excellence – You help to design and deliver a wide variety of solutions. You demonstrate and apply a broad and deep understanding of internal and external training best practice to drive a brilliant learning experience. 
•  Improvement focus – You question and challenge the way things are done and work with others to make improvements.
•  Operational excellence – You identify what resources will be required to deliver a quality learning experience. You organise the right resources to maximise operational performance and add value, escalating requirements in non-standard situations to maintain exceptional results and service.

Mandatory:
•    Experience of training content creation and delivery
•    Developed learning to improve customer outcomes and colleague skill levels  
•    Developed an internal network of strong working relationships you can call on to assist with your role 
•    Used knowledge of the business to develop learning content
•    Tackled process/policy obstacles to delivery 

Preferred:
•    Proven ability to deliver training at pace  
•    Advocate for and applying new technology to develop and deliver training programs
•    Coordinated the training requirements of learners withing the established career pathways
•    Collaboration with SME’s to create, develop and deliver training content 
•    City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Adult Education & Training or equivalent qualification
