Job Title: Pastoral Coach (Part-Time)
Salary: Commencing at £28,796 with progression to £30,527 per annum pro rata
About the Role
What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver pastoral lessons within the PDBA framework.
- Support the Curriculum, Maths and English team to ensure attendance is a priority
- Give academic support, extra encouragement, mentoring and pastoral support to all students inside and outside of the classroom.
- Undertake the role of a designated safeguarding officer ( following training).
- Work with teaching staff to support the achievement of excellent outcomes for each student.
- Support teaching staff where individual student behaviour within a group is impacting on the learning of the group as a whole.
- Assist in the induction of the students into the curriculum and college life.
- Develop a 1:1 relationship with individual students, meeting regularly to review progress against the action plan.
- Support staff on visits and off-site activities.
About You
- Experience of working with students, particularly age 16+.
- Experience of working with schools, parents, and external support agencies.
- Have a good knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
- Experience of student-centred approaches to learning and different styles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Able to work positively & effectively as a member of a team and on own initiative.
