Product Owner – Poland

StatsPerform is one of the largest providers of sporting content in the world. The data, video and editorial content that we create, spans across many sports and thousands of competitions. On top of all the content we have available, it is the responsibility of the Product Owner to successfully deliver new products and product enhancements in the respective area. 

 

The Product Owner is responsible for delivering the long-term roadmap for the product as well as incremental enhancements to keep the product(s) up to date. Given the nature and scale of our products and services we have Product Owners who cover delivery focused on either data ingestion and distribution, feed delivery or front end products working in collaboration with related teams and support functions. – Delivering the defined product set of the StatsPerform services across the existing & new services. – Deliver and maintain a set of requirements to ensure the products are delivered in line with business case and commercial requirements whilst meeting the needs of all stakeholders (internal customers and external clients) – Act as a Product Owner for Agile Development teams, using Scrum, XP or Kanban – The role involves project management throughout the product development lifecycle and the ownership of communication and project plans. 

 

HERE’S YOUR ROLE BROKEN DOWN (NOT ALL OF IT, JUST THE MOST IMPORTANT STUFF) 

• Write stories to clearly define the product 
• Set key development milestones to ensure tracking to roadmap 
• Own the product backlog and prioritize to hit those milestones 
• Manage and publish velocity and quality metrics for product development 
• Control product scope to ensure timely delivery 
• Integrate members of engineering, AI, and design to develop all aspects of product 
• Own the Scrum, Kanban, XP development process and drive continuous improvement 

 

DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS

• Product, Backlog management, Product ownership skills in an Agile (Scrum, Kanban, XP) environment. 
• Detailed requirements gathering and documentation skills, especially working on Frontend (customer facing) products as well as Backend systems. 
• Project management skills – experience executing projects within timelines with multiple stakeholders. 
• Communication and Stakeholder management 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Likely to have worked as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or Project Manager. 
• For this specific product having a strong background and understanding of technology would be highly beneficial 

 

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD THESE DESIRABLES TOO 

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Office tools incl. SharePoint, Planner & PowerBI. 
• Sports knowledge on a wide range of sports is a nice to have 
• Understanding of the principles of service driven architectures, cloud-based solutions, content delivery networks, WEB and mobile apps, UXD.
