About the role

Join us as a Production Supervisor and you’ll be a key part in the team responsible for producing the nation’s much loved Greggs products. You’ll have a passion for quality and will motivate and encourage the production team to ensure the best products are made while following the correct processes and procedures.

You’ll work with a great, close-knit team, in a fast-paced, high-performance environment where timescales and targets are important. You’ll be supervising the food production process, making sure that production tasks are completed to the highest standards in line with legal requirements. You will work with the Production Manager on operational planning for current production requirements, as well as future growth. You’ll make sure your teams are motivated, engaged and fully trained, helping to make Greggs a great place to work.

Working in a food production environment means that sometimes you’ll be exposed to flour and dust. You will also be expected to work in a chilled/frozen environment.

About you 

Ideally, you’ll have previously worked as a supervisor in a similar environment. You’ll also need:

  • Experience in managing, developing and motivating teams
  • Experience in food production and manufacturing
  • A good knowledge of HACCP and Health and Safety in a food production environment and ideally, you’ll hold a level 2 Food Hygiene qualification
  • IT skills, including Microsoft, and exposure to SAP systems
  • Be supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing that difference is good
