QMS Specialist – Performance Data – Europe

Job Purpose…

To support the QMS (Quality Management Systems) Football QMS lead and SDQ Opta team in continually assessing and reporting on data quality of live and post-match game data StatsPerform produces, also assisting in process improvements, documentation and all other elements of the QMS life cycle 

What you’ll be doing….

  • To manage a team of three analysts who will be covering a post-matching tasks for a range of soccer competitions.
  • To perform quality checks on complex live and post-match data sets 
  • To understand data collection processes inside out and understand how the intricacies of the tools used can lead to areas which might cause performance related issues
  • To suggest enhancements to the data collection processes that we have in place
  • To write documents that is necessary for the StatsPerform ISO accreditation and documentation library
  • To assist in testing of new versions of our bespoke data collection software, ensuring that the product is ready to put into use in production
  • To check the quality of our post-match analysis and ensure that after completion of event-by-event checks that the data if of the highest standard
  • To report on a daily/weekly basis identifying trends and problem areas to line manager
  • To interact with internal stakeholders to report on quality issues, both specific data issues and broader methodology issues, where required.
  • To help define, develop, and maintain measurement criteria and reports that allow Live Data Collection management to review the performance at a team and individual level in a robust manner that can ultimately be linked to reward. 
  • To perform quality assurance checks on difficult live and post-match data sets and formulate solutions for future improvements for this data. 
  • To carry out video analysis to verify information on all data points collected in StatsPerform fixtures

 

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us

  • Ideal to have worked in Sports Data or equivalent business, with at least 2 years of experience in dealing with live and post-match sports data
  • Ability to manage a remote team.
  • Will have good analytical skills. 
  • Excellent formal writing skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • ISO 9001 Awareness
  • Ability to plan out workload and set expectations and meet deadlines
  • Able to plan our workflows for our data collection processes
  • Will have experience in assessing data quality and adept at seeking out data errors, through a high competency and understanding of data collection processes requirements. 
  • Will have a good understanding of MS Excel
  • Will have to be able to work across wide breadth of global competitions, so needs a good knowledge of those players and teams
  • Ability to come up with innovative ways ensuring high level checking procedures are carried out on key sets of data
