Refrigeration Shift Technician
Location: Blanchardstown
Duration: Permanent
Shift Role
Day to Day of the Role:
- Responsibility to incorporate all aspects of the company values and behaviours in the fulfilment of your role.
- Carry out assignments in line with; statutory & legislative requirements, Health & safety requirements, appliance standards & codes of practice
- Responsibility for the maintenance , repair and commissioning of full range of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment.
- Deliver great service to customers whilst working on equipment. E.g. Air Handling Units, chillers, kitchen extract canopies, fire dampers and controls.
- Ensure all customer equipment is in perfect working order , efficient and effective.
- Travel within the Leinster region to collect parts etc.
- Responsibility for Ireland and international (two weeks in four ) installation and servicing of HVAC equipment, Mainly Data Centres.
- Collaborate with colleagues and the management team as necessary.
- Escalate to direct report of risk items.
- Ensure that all customer facilities and services are made available within the requirements of the contract specification and ensure assets are operating effectively.
- Liaise with specialists and suppliers in relation to industry and manufacturing requirements.
- Ensure Continuous Professional Development.
Skills & Qualifications Required for the role;
- National Trade certification or a bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering discipline.
- Previous hands-on experience in /Utilities, within the pharmaceutical/food industry/ Tech Industry
- Proven teamwork and leadership skills, with strong communication and organisational skills.
- Problem solving experience and skills.
- Technical and/or engineering capabilities.
- Data driven to evaluate process performance for the purpose of problem solving and optimisation
- Experience on utility systems, generation and distribution networks for Steam, Chilled water, Cooling tower water, Compressed air
- Experience working on Industrial refrigeration system such as stand alone Fridge / Freezers, Incubators, Stability Chambers, Blast freezers
- Previous hands-on experience in Utilities, Maintenance or/& project experience including Reactors, HVAC, Purified water, Clean Steam, Process abatement systems within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Working in ATEX areas
- Previous experience of API pharmaceutical Industry
- Previous experience working on Ammonia refrigeration systems
