At Sense, we don’t just provide care – we champion independence, and we’re looking for Relief Worker to join our team at our day service centre, Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This is a casual relief role at £13 per hour, with various shift patterns from Monday to Saturday.

We support people to have meaningful engagement in activities and develop on life skills. You will support our adults on Monday to Friday and a children group on Saturdays.

In this role, you’ll be:

  • Supporting with daily routines, personal care, and medication
  • Accompanying people on trips, outings, and holidays
  • Enabling people to enjoy creative activities such as drama, art, and gardening
  • Supporting people with their social lives, friendships, and employment.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to:

  • Be warm, reliable, and flexible
  • Be comfortable supporting people with a range of needs
  • Be resilient and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Be willing to attend training to support you in your role
