About the role
The Department of Social and Policy Sciences invites applications for a role that will play a key part in supporting research activities across the department. Based in the Research Office, the Research Coordinator will take responsibility for supporting a range of projects, alongside managing the delivery of a busy calendar of events and activities. You will be required to work with internal colleagues, external partners and other stakeholders to ensure the visibility of our research, supporting public engagement and impact activities and maintaining web and social media channels.
This is a varied role which requires the post holder to work across a number of projects at one time.Â

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as being able to demonstrate an ability to multi-task, use initiative and prioritise.Â

Proactive and adaptable mindset with the ability to develop tailored systems and respond to shifting priorities.

Strong administrative and technical capabilities including financial oversight, data management, and proficiency in MS Office and digital platforms.
Additional information
This is a part time role offered at 0.6 FTE (21.9 hours per week) which can be worked over 3 or more days. The expectation is that this would be worked on a hybrid basis, with a mixture of home and on campus working.Â
This post is offered on a fixed term basis until the end of August 2026. There may be potential for the role to be extended subject to funding being obtained.
