Residential Development Team – Delivering Vital Affordable Housing
An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic, professional team player to join the Residential Development Team. Working to deliver 1,000 new affordable homes across Wiltshire the team work tirelessly to meet deadlines, find opportunities and deliver new affordable housing.
The Residential Development Team is currently driving the zero-carbon agenda for most new build properties and collaborating with other organisations to innovate with future development opportunities – this is a vital moment in the construction industry to see true change.
As a Project Officer you will manage the process of finding and appraising new development sites, commissioning consultants and surveys to de-risk sites and drive projects forward from the start, to achieve planning permission, and progress the projects thereafter with the Project Managers and will be a key part of progressing the delivery of the Council House Build Program. Your responsibility will include managing the process of finding and appraising acquisition land led sites, finding single open market purchases and s106 development opportunities which make up a proportion of the program.
We are looking for a candidate with a professional qualification in housing, building surveying or planning (or equivalent experience) you should be a self-starter, a keen learner and have a background in project management. You should possess excellent communication and organisation skills and you should be able to work to deadlines whilst delivering to a high standard.
