Job Title: SEND Team Leader (Reduced Year)
Salary: Commencing at £30,106 with progression to £31,916 per annum pro rata
About the Role
What You Will Do
- Lead part of the SEND team to ensure high-quality support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and prepare for review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Work collaboratively with schools, families, health professionals, and social care services to achieve positive outcomes.
- Manage High Needs cases and resolve escalated issues effectively.
- Monitor service performance, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and service transformation projects.
- Prepare reports, analyse data, and present recommendations to senior management.
- Promote inclusive practices and advocate for the needs of children and young people with SEND.
About You
- Relevant SEND / Learning Support related qualification or willingness to work towards.
- English and Mathematics at Level 2 or above.
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of current Government SEND legislation/guidance related to transition, education, social care and health.
- Extensive and proven experience of working with students with an EHCP and the implementation of appropriate support strategies.
- Experience of multi-agency partnership working and stakeholder engagement with families, schools, and professionals.
- Experience in performance monitoring, quality assurance, and data-informed reporting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, policy implementation, and continuous service improvement, including budget and resource management.
