At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll take ownership of a major Tier 1 contract on the Hinkley Point C project – one of the UK’s largest and most complex infrastructure programmes. You’ll manage high-value, high-risk contracts in a heavily regulated environment, with a focus on installation and manufacturing scopes such as the Framatome contract.
You’ll join us on a salary starting from £70,000 per annum. This is a hybrid role, with your primary location at the #SDC in #Bridgwater and an expectation to work on-site at #HPC two to three days per week.
This is a senior role with line management responsibilities. You’ll lead contract administration, oversee commercial relationships, and embed a strong nuclear safety culture. You’ll also contribute to lessons learnt and help shape a learning organisation that’s committed to continuous improvement.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Manager with strong leadership and contract management experience in regulated industries such as nuclear, construction, oil and gas or defence. Are you experienced in…
- Managing complex contracts using standard forms
- Leading teams and developing junior talent
- Solving complex issues and managing competing priorities
- Driving health and safety and better safe behaviours
- Holding relevant qualifications such as CIPS or RICS
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a major Tier 1 contract on the HPC project
- Leading commercial relationships and contract administration
- Responding to correspondence, variations and Early Warnings
- Monitoring performance against contract and project expectations
- Embedding nuclear safety culture and collating lessons learnt
