We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist who will develop, maintain and monitor Data Science models and other analytical products to support the delivery of the Group Corporate Plan.

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Developing, testing and documenting Data Science models and analytical products, including associated solutions such as model monitoring 

  • Creating analytical processes to produce required outcomes 

  • Developing and maintaining an understanding of prevailing and emerging modelling techniques and best practice 

  • Communicating outputs from existing models and analytical products to ensure appropriate use by stakeholders 

  • Perf
    orming ad‑hoc analysis to support decision‑making with key stakeholders
     

  • Preparing key reports and presenting insights to colleagues and senior leaders 

Key stakeholders: Homes Business, Money Business, CMO Function, Engineering, Credit Analytics, Finance 

What Do We Need From You? 

Skills 

  • Ability to analyse and understand trends in data and develop solutions that add value 

  • Highly numerate 

  • Proficient in manipulating, interpreting and analysing data through code 

  • Strong communication and time‑management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly 

  • Ability to work autonomously, develop your own skillset and manage your workload independently 

  • Ability to interpret business requirements and propose Data Science solutions 

Knowledge 

  • Considerable knowledge and understanding of analytical software and approaches 

  • Understanding of project and change methodologies 

Experience 

  • Experience of working in an analytical role 

Qualifications 

  • A numerate degree or equivalent analytical experience 

Hybrid working

  • 3 days per week at Office
