Senior Manager, Digital Product Performance – Chapel Street
Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Senior Manager, Digital Product Performance.
This role will lead Liverpool FC’s conversion rate optimisation and digital performance strategy across the club’s commercial digital channels. Reporting directly to the Director of Digital Product Management, you will define and deliver the experimentation and personalisation roadmap, oversee governance for testing and digital brand standards, and provide strategic direction for optimisation tools such as Dynamic Yield, ContentSquare, and Hotjar. You’ll translate behavioural data into actionable insights that shape the product backlog and influence commercial priorities, while managing a small multi-disciplinary team. The role also includes regular performance reporting to senior stakeholders and ensures that user experience enhancements, delivered via third-party design partners.
What will you be doing?
Testing & Experimentation
- Lead CRO and usability testing strategy across digital platforms.
- Manage A/B and multivariate testing programmes.
- Align testing with business goals and ensure ethical, on-brand execution.
- Use tools like Dynamic Yield, ContentSquare, and Hotjar to drive optimisation.
- Deliver insights to improve customer journeys and conversion rates.
User Experience & New Features
- Identify UX pain points and improvement opportunities.
- Review and approve wireframes, prototypes, and user flows delivered by third-party UX design partners.Ensure high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
- Apply UX standards to SSO, OneTrust, and MarTech solutions.
- Govern digital brand consistency across platforms and partners, in collaboration with external design resources.Maintain brand guidelines and component libraries.
- Coordinate UX and CRO workshops with internal stakeholders and agency support.
Product Management & External Agencies
- Own strategy and governance for UX/CRO tools.
- Manage relationships with CRO/UX agencies and third-party resources.
- Stay up to date with UX, CRO, and MarTech innovations.
- Ensure quality and knowledge transfer from external support.
Planning, Reporting & Analysis
- Report UX and CRO performance to senior stakeholders.
- Analyse customer behaviour and journey data.
- Track key metrics like conversion, engagement, and NPS.
- Share test results and drive implementation across teams.
- Collaborate with analytics for data-driven UX improvements.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team focused on CRO, analytics, and digital performance.Promote a test-and-learn culture.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a seasoned digital leader with significate, recent of experience in UX, CRO, or Digital Product Management, ideally within a high-traffic e-commerce environment. You’ll have a proven track record of leading UX and CRO teams, establishing governance frameworks, and ensuring brand consistency across multiple platforms. Your expertise spans A/B and multivariate testing, personalisation technologies (e.g., Dynamic Yield, Optimizely), and advanced analytics using tools like Google Analytics and BI platforms. You’ll be confident managing external agencies, driving Agile product development, and translating data insights into impactful UX solutions. Experience overseeing third-party UX delivery is essential, with a focus on strategic direction, performance optimisation, and brand alignment. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch is beneficial for reviewing and guiding external work, along with strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence senior leadership. Experience in sports, lifestyle, or fan-driven ecosystems, multi-language e-commerce, and digital accessibility is highly desirable.
