Your Role
As a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer, you’ll:
Lead investigations into serious breaches of planning control
Use formal enforcement powers and represent the council in legal proceedings
Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of learning
Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and elected Members
Balance office work with regular site visits for a varied and engaging workload
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in planning enforcement and a strong grasp of relevant legislation
Excellent communication and decision-making skills
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage a diverse caseload
A degree in planning or a related field is preferred
