About the role:

 
We’re seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Senior Programme Officer (SPO) who is passionate about supporting our taught campus-based programmes. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth delivery of our portfolio of taught campus-based programmes at King’s Business School.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide day-to-day administrative support for our taught campus-based programmes, collaborating closely with academic and student support teams to guarantee a seamless student experience from enrolment to graduation.
As a crucial member of our team, you’ll offer vital support to both students and academics, serving as a central point of contact for queries and issues related to our campus-based programmes. Working in a fast-paced environment your role will involve taking responsibility to resolve complex queries and issues, supporting activities such as timetabling, maintaining accurate student data on progression and achievement, and fostering effective communication among students, faculty, and stakeholders.
 
Collaborating with colleagues, you’ll play a key role in planning and coordinating activities, allowing you to expand your expertise in regulations and process improvement while contributing to professional networks dedicated to promoting best practices.

This is a full-time time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
 
King’s Business School operates a hybrid working policy and you will be expected to spend a minimum of two working days per week on campus. 
 
About you: (the candidate)

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:  
1.      Demonstrated programme administration experience, preferably gained within a Higher Education context.
2.      Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, enabling independent drafting of documents, virtual learning content, and correspondence tailored to diverse audiences.
3.      Excellent in numerical analysis, with a proven eye for detail and accuracy when handling complex data, employing a data-driven decision-making approach.
4.      Excellent working knowledge of IT systems, such as Microsoft 365 and student records systems (SITS). 
5.      Proven experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
6.      Excellent time management and organisational skills, adept at meeting tight deadlines and managing competing priorities, with a willingness to seek and utilise support as needed.
7.      Customer service experience, coupled with the ability to address complaints and service issues efficiently and professionally.
8.      Experience collaborating effectively within a diverse team, demonstrating a proactive approach, and possessing the capability to work autonomously.
 
Desirable criteria
1.      Experience providing pastoral care to students and signposting internal and external recourses. 
2.      Experience of using virtual learning environments. 
3.      Degree level or equivalent qualification or experience.
