ServiceNow Application Portfolio & Governance Analyst 

As an Analyst within Application Portfolio Management & Service Governance, you will support the accuracy, structure, and governance of application and service data within ServiceNow. You will work closely with IT teams to ensure alignment between applications, services, and business capabilities, while enabling informed decision-making through reporting and insights.

This role is offered on a full-time employment contract, our office is located in Krakow and we are open to both 50/50 hybrid and fully remote work setting.

What the day will look like

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and govern Application Portfolio Management (APM) data within ServiceNow, ensuring application and service records remain accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Manage and monitor application lifecycle statuses, supporting portfolio decisions around investment, maintenance, modernization, consolidation, and retirement.
  • Conduct portfolio analysis to identify duplicate, redundant, and obsolete applications, providing recommendations to optimize the application landscape.
  • Ensure accurate mapping between business applications, technical services, and business capabilities, supporting service ownership, accountability, and organizational structures.
  • Support CMDB and ServiceNow data governance activities, including data quality monitoring, validation, remediation, and compliance with established standards.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and portfolio insights to support governance forums, service reviews, architecture assessments, and IT leadership decision-making.
  • Collaborate with application owners, service managers, architects, and business stakeholders to improve portfolio transparency and service management effectiveness.
  • Assist in the definition and enforcement of APM and service management processes, standards, and governance practices within ServiceNow.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting by ensuring portfolio and service data is reliable and properly maintained.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Application Portfolio Management, Service Mapping, and ServiceNow platform capabilities.

 

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 3–6 years of experience in IT with exposure to application portfolio management, service management, or IT governance
  • Hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Administrator including owning and governing the platform
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model and backend architecture
  • Proven experience managing Application Portfolio Management (APM) and services within ServiceNow (i.e., CMDB or service mapping)
  • Good understanding of IT service management concepts, including applications, services, and configuration management
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and improve data accuracy and quality
  • Ability to analyze data, present insights clearly, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
