Social Impact Partnership Manager (1 Braham Street, London, United Kingdom)
Hybrid 3 days per week onsite from either London, Birmingham or Bristol

Why this job matters
This is one of two four-year fixed-term roles supporting BT Group’s social impact commitments under a major fibre rollout contract with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS). The role is critical and includes shared responsibility for managing a £3 million budget over the course of the contract.
The role holder will lead the end-to-end delivery of key programmes aligned with BT’s commitments to Building Digital UK (BDUK), including identifying and managing project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
Delivery will be shared with a peer and span several UK regions, covering six core workstreams:
- Supporting small businesses in England to deliver apprenticeships.
- Helping schools prepare students for the world of work.
- Accelerating growth and skills development for small businesses.
- Boosting employability and entrepreneurship for young people.
- Improving digital skills for people aged 55 and over.
- Coordinating with Openreach to deliver local pop-up events.
What you’ll be doing
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage end-to-end project plans to ensure timely and effective delivery of all workstreams across multiple UK regions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party delivery partners to ensure successful execution of programme activities.
- Manage approximately £375,000 annually (half of the total £750k budget), ensuring effective allocation and financial oversight.
- Monitor and report on programme progress and impact, including quarterly customer reports, partner reviews, and contributions to the annual impact report.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance programme efficiency and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including volunteering, CFU, and communications leads—to promote colleague engagement in programme delivery.
- Work closely with the Social Impact Stakeholder Manager, providing support and cover as needed.
Skills and Experiences
In this role you will perform a number of duties and will require the following:

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor complex programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities, both internally and externally.
- Effective problem-solving skills, with a focus on simplifying and streamlining complex processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in collecting, analysing, and presenting data to explain complex concepts and support decision-making.
Experience
- Proven track record of planning and delivering complex projects end-to-end, using collaborative digital tools to monitor progress.
- Experience resolving stakeholder challenges through needs analysis and collaborative solution development.
- Demonstrated ability to work within matrix project teams, managing multiple stakeholders to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Experience using creative communication strategies to engage target audiences, particularly in volunteering or community initiatives.
- Ability to build high-trust relationships that support brand reputation and responsible business goals.
- Experience in owning and managing budgets effectively.
