We know social work is challenging at times, but you’ll be given the support and encouragement to manage this. We want our workforce and our young people to thrive, be the best they can be and most important, to be happy. This is achieved through utilising a restorative practice approach in everything we do.
The family and adolescent support team is a new multi-disciplinary team working with young people aged 11+ where the main area of need is related to extra-familial harm. We also work with young people at the edge of care where there are concerns relating to mental health and substance misuse, young people 16 and 17 presenting as homeless, and supporting young people’s return home following a period of hospital admittance (tier 4).
