They spend their days collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from a wide range of live sporting events. If you combine this real-time data with our 40-year-old archives, elite journalists, camera operators, copywriters, the latest in AI wizardry, and a host of ‘behind the scenes’ support staff, you’ve got all the ingredients to make it a magical experience!   

Our teams of technical experts specialize in harnessing live sporting data, using advanced cloud technologies, Java, JavaScript and Python. It is these tech teams that enable us to extract patterns through AI and Machine Learning and deliver our insights via APIs. In short, they turn complex data into magical experiences with cutting-edge technology.  

 Responsibilities:

  • Join a collaborative team focused on customer-centric solutions related to our frontend products, with a primary emphasis on web widgets and other interactive elements. 
  • Coach and mentor engineers in your team, fostering a positive culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. 
  • Tackle code fixes and feature enhancements, of medium to high complexity, and feature enhancements, ensuring high-quality, robust, and testable solutions that adhere to internal engineering procedures and coding standards. 
  • Work closely with 2nd level support teams and core product engineering to address customer needs promptly and efficiently.  
  • Participate in all aspects of the software engineering lifecycle, including design, testing, implementation, deployment, and ongoing support. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry experience in software lifecycle delivery to production, with a focus on resolving customer issues and delivering rapid solutions. 
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, and experience working within a cloud-native architecture. 
  • Proficient in Git and standard code repository processes. 
  • Experience in working collaboratively with teammates across different time zones. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills across multiple disciplines, including front-end development, API development and cloud services. 

Desired Qualifications:

  • JavaScript and TypeScript proficiency. 
  • Experience with React JS, Jest, and Cypress for frontend development. 
  • Familiarity with PHP for backend development. 
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud technologies. 
  • Knowledge of containerization using Kubernetes and Docker. 
  • Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
