Job Title: Technical & Performance Resource Assistant – Evenings
Salary: £26,468 per annum, pro rata
About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Maintaining the currency of the recording studios, band rooms, practice rooms and DJ Suite; ensuring that they are operational at all times.
  • Distributing equipment to staff and students, ensuring all records are up to date, and offering technical support and advice to students and staff.
  • Delivering relevant demonstrations to students and staff on the use of equipment and software.
  • Supporting the Music Production Resources Manager and Performance Resources Manager respectively with project work.

About You

  • A Level 3 qualification in Music or Music Technology, ideally holding a Bachelor’s degree in Music or Music Technology. 
  • Possess prior experience with recording equipment and software
  • A strong understanding of Health and Safety practices in studio environments.
  • Solid knowledge of current DJ equipment and software is essential, as well as proficiency in Apple Mac DAW software. 
  • Excellent IT skills and a good working knowledge of standard office software such as Word and Excel.
  • Additionally, the ability to solder and carry out minor equipment repairs is required.
  • Demonstrate strong planning and organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are a must, alongside a strong customer service ethos. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team is crucial.
