Trading Support Manager – Fixed Term – Part Time

Sense is currently recruiting for a Trading Support Manager to work 30 hours per week, 9am – 5pm 4 days per week, at our offices in Crayford on a 12 month fixed term basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting shops and area managers in growing over the counter (OTC) stock. Working with the Trading Corporate team to drive more stock and be accountable for delivering the trading donated stock strategy, to support the overall trading strategy. As well as managing donation banks and other sources of donated stock across the estate and supporting Area Managers and Logistics in the supply of stock to shops where necessary.
 

Key Responsibilities include

  • To co-ordinate the donated stock levels to support Sense shops and future growth.
  • To co-ordinate national stock generation campaigns
  • To provide active support for area and store managers on local stock generation initiatives to grow increased quality and quantity of stock, including being directly responsible in increasing stock in growth shops identified as part of the trading strategy
  • To work with the Trading Corporate team to develop relationships with third parties (business, local authorities, institutions) in order to establish and maintain sources of donated stock
  • To organise and manage our clothing banks, and deliver targeted growth
  • To control cost and expenditure within agreed budgets and to report on same periodically to Senior Management.
  • To establish and maintain a National Exemption Order for Sense stores.
  • To support shops and central team with promoting Trading via social media.
  • To carry out regular Gift Aid runs in line with HMRC.
  • To support Area Managers, shops and the Central team with day-to-day tasks including posters etc.
  • To oversee the shop use orders and ensure we have the most cost effective and efficient process in place.

  • Good computer skills in word and excel
  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent
  • Organised and attention to detail.
  • Previous administration experience.

  • A commitment to people with complex communication and Sense’s vision and values; a willingness to learn how to communicate with people with complex communication and identify the barriers to their participation in all aspects of Sense’s work.
