Job Title: University Teacher in Biomechanics (maternity cover)

School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences Full-time (1.0 FTE, 37 hours per week), fixed term maternity cover from 28th September 2026 for 12 months or earlier return of post-holder The successful candidate will join the Learning and Teaching Discipline Group in Biomechanics and Motor Control based within the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University. The role will involve teaching Biomechanics and Motor Control content across the sport programmes. This will primarily be to undergraduate students in Sport and Exercise Science, and Sport Science, Coaching and Physical Education, and postgraduate students in Sport Biomechanics, and Musculoskeletal Sport Science and Health. Most of the work will consist of on-site teaching duties, with the opportunity for some hybrid working to undertake content planning and marking. About You To be successful we are looking for candidates with the following key experiences and skills: Excellence in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students within academia. Passion for developing and improving taught content, both at a module and programme level. High level of communication skills. Evidence of using innovative teaching methodologies to enhance students’ learning experience. Have achieved, or be on a pathway to achieve, professional accreditation in teaching practice.
