We have a great opportunity for a VAT Compliance Assistant Manager within our Outsourced Accounting Services to join our team in the London office.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing part of our business in a management role, leading a portfolio of clients while helping to develop and support a high-performing Financial Outsourcing team.

With a strong focus on VAT compliance and advisory, you’ll work with a diverse range of UK VAT registered businesses, both in the UK and internationally. You’ll build trusted client relationships, provide expert guidance, and play a key role in delivering an exceptional client experience while supporting the continued growth of the team and service line.

Key Responsibilities 

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering VAT compliance and advisory services tailored to their needs.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Financial Outsourcing professionals, ensuring high-quality work and a positive team culture.
Advise clients on UK and cross-border VAT matters, including import VAT, PIVA, and the international trade of goods and services.
Build trusted client relationships, managing priorities, deadlines, and expectations with confidence.
Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver a seamless, joined-up service spanning outsourcing, tax, accounts, and advisory.
Support the team’s commercial success by delivering excellent client service while meeting financial and operational objectives.

 

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise 

What We’re Looking For:
? Qualifications
  • ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified is desirable, but we’re equally happy to consider candidates who are qualified by experience
? Skills & Experience
  • Strong UK VAT compliance knowledge, including experience with cross-border VAT
  • Experience preparing and reviewing VAT returns. 
  • Confident using cloud-based accounting software. 
  • Previous experience managing a client portfolio and building strong client relationships. 
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing a team. 
  • Commercially minded, organised, and able to adapt to a variety of client needs.
