About the role
We are transforming our HR and Organisational Development functions within the council to ensure that we have a fit for purpose structure to enable the next chapter in our journey, supporting the achievement of our corporate priorities and ensuring the council can respond to its changing workforce needs.
As such, we are in the process of implementing a new structure, with some new roles and teams. We currently have a number of potential vacancies that we will need to fill, so that we have the capacity to deliver an excellent service.

Join our Workforce and Organisational Development team as we shape the future of North Northamptonshire Council (NNC).
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and evaluating a variety of Organisational Development (OD) interventions that align with NNC’s workforce strategy. You will play a key part in adopting sustainable workforce change by balancing structural elements.

About you
We are looking for a proactive and strategic Organisational Development & Workforce Lead with a strong background in HR, workforce planning, and organisational development.
You will have a passion for driving change, delivering impactful workforce initiatives, land working collaboratively with senior leaders to shape the future of our organisation.
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Proven experience in HR, Learning & Development, or a fast-paced transformation environment
Experience leading and supporting HR and workforce projects, implementing effective change initiatives, and ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery.
Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and managers to co-design solutions that align with business needs and workforce priorities.
A basic understanding of employment law.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Comfortable working flexibly and using technology to deliver innovative, business-focused solutions.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office programs to support data analysis and workforce planning.
