Support Worker Children & Youth Residential Bank Hours – Must be drivers (UK manual licence)

* Experience is not always essential – the desire to help others is
* A UK manual driving licence is required – but you don’t need a car
* Hourly rates from £11.59 up to £12.54 – depending on location & qualification
* Sleep-in rate is £78 each – full time staff can expect up to 8 per month
* £500 Welcome Bonus – once you pass probation period of 6 months
* £1000 Refer A Friend reward – £250 when they start and £750 when they pass their probation
* We are unable to offer sponsorship

ROC Northwest offers high quality residential care and education for children and young people living with mental health conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties and complex needs associated with challenging behaviour.

What is the role?

Your role will be to support our children, in the homes we provide for them, in all aspects of daily living. You’ll help them to maintain and develop relationships with friends and family, encourage them to integrate in the community by attending clubs, events and activities. You will safeguard our children and report any suspicion or evidence of harm. When the children are not in the service you will be expected to undertake basic housekeeping duties where required. All this is done in a genuinely family feel environment, and this is key to success in this role.

What do we look for?

  • Similar experience isn’t always required but is always welcome, as is personal experience
  • People who have the desire to put others first and to go home with a sense of pride in their day and what they’ve achieved
  • A Children’s Residential level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential but would result in enhanced pay rates
  • A manual UK Driving Licence is required to use company vehicles (not automatic)
  • Ability to work long day shifts e.g. 8am to 10pm and sleep ins from 10pm to 7am
  • These are rotating shifts so your shift will fall on a weekend occasionally
