The Opportunity…

 

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

 

For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and some early design studies are already underway and being delivered and managed from both France and UK.

 

As a Project Manager, you'll work closely with the Senior Architect’s team to ensure progress in key project areas like NI Auxiliaries, Utilities, Electrical & Diesels, and Civils. You'll lead the implementation of replication strategies from Hinkley Point C (HPC) to Sizewell C (SZC) for the NI Programme. Your responsibilities include planning, monitoring, and controlling RD activities, collaborating with internal entities like Edvance, DIPNN, and external suppliers/contractors, and technical disciplines.

What you’ll be doing…

 

  • Coordinating Task Order preparation, Change Requests, and SZC offer.
  • Monitoring project delivery, update List of Deliverables (LOD), and schedule.
  • Managing risks, opportunities, design changes, and configuration.
  • Preparing and contributing to contractual communications.
  • Overseeing budgets and conducting monthly gap analysis with cost managers.
  • Establishing and delivering monthly reporting for NI Programme.
  • Organising progress meetings with NNB and manage interfaces.
  • Identifying and managing interactions with other engineering sequences.

Who you are…

 

Your background may include some of the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience with a technical/engineering background.
  • Experience in similar large and complex projects.
  • Flexible and pragmatic approach to project management.
  • Ideally, experience in nuclear engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with electronic document management systems and scheduling software.
  • Relevant project management qualification or chartership membership of a professional engineering institution would be desirable.
