    Job Description


    We are looking for a strategic and collaborative VP of GMP Client Consultant EMEA to join our team. This position is responsible for driving the Google Marketing Platform (GMP) capability across the region, market enablement, partnership development and client consulting. The ideal candidate will be a strategically focused leader with experience advising on marketing strategy, data and technology requirements and designing GMP-specific solutions for clients.

    This position sits in the Performics EMEA team, reporting to the Head of GMP Services EMEA. Performics is a central team within Publicis Media that provides globally consistent solutions for everything digital that powers all Publicis agencies and clients. This is a new agency model that shifts from solely executing and optimizing campaigns to a more holistic one that involves defining strategic direction, planning technology stacks, refining data assets and ultimately ensuring everything is working together in synergy to maximize campaign effectiveness and achieve their clients’ business goals.



    Market Enablement

    • Build and grow relationships with key digital, technology and GMP leads in all priority EMEA markets.
    • Define, align and rollout a consistent approach on GMP capability across the region.
    • Support markets with establishing and driving core goals and propositions in relation to GMP capability, reselling, feature adoption and consultancy services.
    • Drive growth of in-market capabilities to fulfil requirements of priority certifications and partnership programmes and support on data- and technology-related queries.
    • Support growth of reselling and consultancy revenue for markets through facilitation of regional and local pipeline development.
    • Act as a connective tissue between relevant teams, practice and market leads to grow adoption of central and local services, share best practices and learnings and ensure consistency of offering across teams.
    • Lead development and adoption of proprietary tools based on regional requirements to help service and deliver key projects for clients.


    Partnership Development

    • Build relationships and regularly engage with global Google agency, data, and technology stakeholders to drive regional ambitions across GMP, address challenges and unlock further opportunities for markets.
    • Liaise with relevant global and local Google teams to generate funding opportunities, raise market profile, and implement consulting projects across the region.
    • Liaise with relevant Google teams to stay abreast of product roadmap and feature updates.
    • Engage with local Google Partner Managers to support local market agenda as required.


    Client Consulting

    • Collaborate with agency teams to consult on client challenges and identify opportunities to increase Publicis share of GMP adoption and solutions.
    • Work with clients to understand existing marketing and advertising challenges, create GMP/GCP specific maturity roadmaps and proactively identify new project opportunities.
    • Lead pre-sales process with clients for reselling and consulting projects as required, from opportunity identification to project launch, including discovery, proposal creation, pitching and operational set up. 
    • Lead renewal of existing licensing deals and identification of growth opportunities across region and global network clients.
    • Stay abreast of the constantly evolving marketplace and collaborate closely with Agency Teams and Practice leads to ensure marketplace POVs address client concerns and anticipate needs.




    • 8+ years’ experience in the ad tech or mar tech landscape
    • Previous client consulting and/or enablement is required.
    • Strong track record of leadership in platform consulting and related strategic planning at holding company and/or media agency, showing a history of innovation and novel solutions to client challenges
    • In-depth understanding of digital media planning, strategy, negotiation, and implementation as well as the wider marketing & advertising industry as a whole
    • Experience managing in a matrix structure, including negotiating with, enabling, and managing a range of different stakeholders
    • Proactive and autonomous individual contributor with problem solving and analytical skills
    • Growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning and development, including staying up to date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and ad tech landscape, as well as seeking out opportunities for professional development and skill-building.


    • Strong understanding of the martech and adtech platforms (web, mobile, tablets, PC; DSP, SSP, Ad Server, Verification, Analytics; Search, Social, Programmatic; Data Partners; and so on) for holistic user experiences and data handling
    • Extensive understanding of GMP product suite and associated tech maturity projects.
    • Strategic thinker and able to focus on the business objective.
    • Strong communicator and experience managing client relationships with the ability to describe / visualise complex ideas in a simple way.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – you must be able to articulate complex concepts to a diverse audience
